Laura is an associate at the firm in the Corporate & Commercial Department. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.
Laura has a sound background in Employment and Labour Law, Corporate Governance, Company Incorporation and Company Secretarial work.
She previously did her clerkship at Katende Ssempebwa & Company Advocates in the litigation department. In 2021, she did an internship with the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ). She has also undertaken several internships and externships with the Initiative for Social and Economic Rights (ISER), Platform for Labour Action (PLA) and Naguru Babies Home.
Laura is also a legal writer and was part of the team that developed the Legal Aid and Livelihood Manual for Platform for Labour Action. She was also part of the team that developed a handbook titled “Freedom of Expression in Uganda”, a project by the East African Network of University Law Clinics (EANULAC) and the American Bar Association (ABA).
